Our waterproof and breathable products are treated with a durable water-repellent solution (DWR).
The solution forms a protective barrier on the outer layer of the garment, ensuring water beads up and sheds off the surface.
The application of DWR is not exclusive to waterproof garments. We also apply the technology to other gear, offering water repellency to our WindWall, insulation, equipment and footwear styles.

After heavy use of DWR-treated gear, washing helps reactivate the effectiveness of the protective solution and enhances comfort.
If you find that the DWR finish is not as it was after a couple of washes, you can use a reapplication product when laundering.
To reduce our impact on nature, we’re switching to the use of a more environmentally friendly DWR solutions.
Non-PFC DWR is an effective water repellent and helps minimise some of the environmental impacts of fluorocarbon.
